Logging In
After your computer is fully booted up and you are connected to the internet. Open the Internet Explorer Web Browser (sorry, despite what the state says the site is NOT fully functional with Firefox, or any other web browser) and go to:
You'll be greeted by the screen shown to the right:
Enter the user name and password that was provided to you by WBSI management.
Click the button labeled "Log In"
WAIT; please don't click that box that says "Save this password?" I know we all think that our laptop will never be stolen, but the fact is that it's quite possible that one of us will loose a laptop. let's keep our little "serious about security talk in mind for a moment . . here's a couple company specific rules that are log in related:
Do Not let your browser save this password after you:
Do Not use the "Forgot your Password?" wizard, this isn't a security measure, it's current company policy.
Do Not change your password, this isn't a security measure, it's current company policy.
Didn't get logged in the first time? These user names and passwords are tuff, DFS is serious about security too. Just take a deep breath and try again.
Currently WINGS automatically locks users out when 3 failed log in attempts occur. When it does this, we currently have to call the state to get the account unlocked. Please try to avoid this. In the short term future, DFS will shift the burden of unlocking accounts to us, which we will gladly accept because it'll speed things up. But for now, please be careful, we know these passwords are tough, and it's made tougher still by asking you to memorize it at first, but hang in there.
Let's continue on and explore the good things about WINGS . . .
